Now this is the type of “do” that I’d put on when it’s just me and the girls having fun, but if you are bold enough to wear it out it can be a very unique look that will make you stand out against the crowd.
- Split your hair in half and put the upper half of your hair into a ponytail.
Place the ponytail where you would like the bow to be.
You can optionally tease the hair in the ponytail to make the bow more defined.
2. Bring the hair over to the other side of your head and hold the hair down on your hair.
Pin into place, securely. Depending on how workable your hair is determines just how many bobby pins you’ll need. I needed 5 for this step :P
3. Spread open the bow until both ends of the bow are touching your head. If you want to make sure they stay there you can bobby pin the sides down.
4. Create a space in the middle of the bow by pushing 1/2 of the bow to the right and 1/2 of the bow to the left. Grab the leftover pieces of hair that is in the front and bring it to the back of the bow through the space you just created and pin into place. And now you have the infamous Lady Gaga bow hair!
tips to make the “do” easier…..
- If you do tease your ponytail only tease the front of it and try to keep the back of the pony as smooth as you can so the bow will be nice and neat
- When your pinning in the middle part of the bow in the last step, push the pin straight down
- If you want to make the bow higher up stick a bobby pin straight into the center of the bow
- Grab a WHOLE LOT MORE bobby pins if you have short layer cause your hair will be sticking out in random places so you’ll be needing something to keep those suckers tamed
